This is a Premium June Resource. This cross-curricular project is super fun and tasty. You can start by learning about the different rock layers, what they represent, and the creatures that roamed them. 

Once you’ve mastered the history it’s time for the practical. Create a proper dig zone and catalogue all of your finds. 

Finally, use jelly to create your own rock layer and fossil model. Dig through it with a spoon and enjoy.
